Pentecost Sunday

[Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
— Jn 20:21-23

“Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.” The reading from the Acts of the Apostles is evidence that the gifts of the Holy Spirit were at work in the disciples and motivated them to speak about Jesus. They caught the fire of God’s love and spoke openly about the wonderous things God had done. Take a few moments in prayer this week to consider some of the wonderful things God has done in your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to kindle in you the fire of God’s love that was given to the disciples on that first Pentecost. Then, like the disciples go forth and share that good news of God’s love with others.

Scam Alert Warning

Important NoticeImportant NoticeLast June, many people on the contact list of St. Stephen Parish in Framingham received emails claiming to come from the parish, asking the recipient to purchase a Google Play gift card as a present for someone and promising to pay them back.

Any requests will be sent via the bulletin, the web site, or announced at Mass.

Link to the Boston Pilot article on the scams

In addition, Fr. Barmes' name is being used in a scam to try and extract gift cards from parishioners. We have had a few calls with parishioners having received a text purportedly from Fr. Barnes asking them to purchase $300 gift cards and to scratch of the security number and forward a picture of the gift card and security number.

DO NOT to respond to the text. It is not from Fr. Barnes and is an effort to scam them. Fr. Barnes would never ask parishioners to forward a picture of a gift card to him. These did not come from Fr. Barnes, please do not respond to these requests.

If you wish to donate securely, please use the Donate button at the top of this page.

For everyone’s safety, if you have tested positive for Covid-19, the current requirements are 5 days quarantine and 5 days with a mask. For more specific information, please see the CDC website.
